National Nurses Week for the year 2013 is
celebrated from May 6, in celebration of the birthday of our Founder of Modern
Nursing, Florence Nightingale up to May 12. It’s a long week commemoration for
nurses around the world both practicing and non-practicing nurses.
Nursing is a noble profession and this entails a
lot of responsibilities. It is associated with well-defined self-integrity,
dignity, and genuine care for others. Nurses are the partners of the
physicians, medical technologies, radiologists, nursing aides, and other health
care providers. They are the advocates of the well and ill patients.
Today, let’s give ourselves and other nurses little
or big appreciation as to their never ending love and care to the needy and
their patients.
