How to Make Your Patient Happy

Nurse-patient relationship
Our patients are the most important persons that we should take care for when we started to enter the hospital or the healthcare field. They are the main highlights why we ought to take care and why we promise to be an Angel in the sickroom.

But how do you make you patients happy and alleviate their pains from sickness? Here are some suggestions that we have gathered.

1. Show that big smile. When you entered the room or pass by them in the lobby, greet them with your warmest genuine smile. Be courteous and be enthusiastic.

2. Ask how they are feeling. A simple question like asking how they are doing and how they are feeling can alleviate their anxiety. They can able to verbalize and express how they are feeling in that certain moment.

3. Understand as much as you can. Some patients are irritable and they tend to be annoying to the highest point that you can imagine. As nurses, it's our call to lengthen our patience to this patients. Take a deep breath, sigh, smile, and understand.

The medical team who worked with De Souza includes three other doctors, three nurses, and a physiotherapist were also charged with murder.

Prosecutors said Dr. De Souza and her medical team administered muscle relaxant drugs (like Pancuronium) so to increase patient’s dependence on artificial respiration then they will reduce the oxygen supply which can cause death by asphyxia.

A voice recorder was released as a proof to the murder case of De Souza, “I want to clear the intensive care unit. It’s making me itch.” She also added, “Unfortunately, our mission is to be go-between on the springboard to the next life.”

According to prosecutors, De Souza might kill more than 300 patients since the last seven years in the hospital where she headed the intensive care unit.
